HARDCORE 2006 & EXTRA SILVERSTEIN DATE ADDED!!
Hey guys,
We have been added to this years HARDCORE 2006 Festival in Sydney! IKTPQ will be headlining both days (all ages + o18's) of the festival this July alongside Most Precious Blood, Mid Youth Crisis (reunion!!) and our Mornington Peninsula brothers Carpathian + many more!
Also for all you Silverstein fans, an extra date has been added to the tour. The Canadians and Adelaidians will be hitting Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW on June 4th.

FRESH BLOOD TOUR AND SILVERSTEIN TOUR DATES ADDED!
Hey everyone,
We are doing a bunch of shows through NSW so everyone there can meet our new vocalist, Ed Butcher. The Fresh Blood Tour dates are now up in the tour section and can also be viewed on our myspace page http://www.myspace.com/ikilledthepromqueen
We have also just been announced as the main support for the National Silverstein Tour beginning in May. This is going to be a great tour as Silverstein are not only an awesome band but those wacky Canadians are great guys as well. Dates for the Silverstein tour have also just been added.
Hopefully you can all make it to see us on either of these tours.

the big news
Dear IKTPQ fans,
As some of you already know or may have heard, we have decided to part ways with our long time vocalist, Michael Crafter.
As with any relationship only the people involved ever know the true story and we feel in all fairness to Michael it is primarily our business, and no-one elses, as to why the relationship disintegrated. However, also in fairness to our fans we would like to offer some explanation.
It was with regret that the four of us came to the decision to part ways with him but after months of deliberation we decided that it was in the best interest of I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN as our on going relationship with him was becoming untenable.
Yes Crafter did play an important role in our development in the music scene and for that we are grateful but it was time for us to move on and unfortunately our ideals and crafters ideals were becoming too different.
We honestly wish him well and hope that he finds a place where his ideals are shared equally.
As for the future of IKTPQ we have some vocalists in mind and assure you that no shows or tours will be cancelled. We would like to thank those of you who understand the inherent complexities of 5 people working so closely together and we are thankful for your ongoing support and encouragement. We hope this will continue from you in the future.
(the reason we have left out DIRECT reasons is because we feel this would be childish and unprofessional of the band. we hope you will understand)

Australia's I Killed the Prom Queen have finished recording their full length in Sweden w/ producer Frederik Nordstrom (In Flames, At the Gates, Dark Tranquility). The band is currently looking for a new label to call home. After a highly successful European tour, IKTPQ are now back on the road in the states. the final shows are this weekend
so we're nearing the end of the destroy music tour, its been so much fun, MILES AWAY, BCE and Getaway Plan have been crackin dudes to hang with for the past 3 weeks. iktpq want to extend a huge thankyou to anyone whos attended any of the past 20 shows.Tonight we play Brisbane @ Lions Den, its ALL AGES so come on down, then tomorrow is our LAST AUS SHOW for the year in coffs harbour, as the band flies out to Europe on Tuesday. we'd love to see ya'll at the coffs show, its free!
